Racism is still with us. But it is up to us to prepare our children for what they have to meet, and, hopefully, we shall overcome.

Rosa Parks

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (Febuary 4th, 1913 - October 24th, 2005) was an African-American rights activist and a famous heroine in history. She became an iconic model for anti-discrimination when she refused to give up her seat to a Caucasian man. Her actions led to the beginning of African-Americans fighting for their rights and inspired resistance against prejudice.
