Rosa Parks

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (born Febuary 4, 1913 - October 24, 2005) was an African-American rights activist and a famous heroine in history. She became an iconic model for anti-discrimination when she refused to give up her seat to a Caucasian man. Her actions led to the beginning of African-Americans fighting for their rights and inspired resistance against prejudice.
